To start trading on NSES, you need to open an account with a licensed broker who is a member of NSES. The broker will guide you through the account opening process, which includes completing KYC requirements and funding your account. Once your account is set up, you can place orders through your broker's trading platform.
NSES operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM East Africa Time (EAT), with pre-market trading from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM and post-market trading from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The exchange is closed on weekends and public holidays.
Trading fees on NSES vary depending on the type of transaction and the broker you use. Generally, there is a commission charged by your broker for each trade, which typically ranges from 0.1% to 0.5% of the transaction value.
